Insight Communications Names Kim D. Kelly President and Chief Operating Officer

Insight Communications Company (Nasdaq: ICCI), the ninth largest cable television operator in the U. S., announced that Kim D. Kelly has been appointed to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer. Additionally, Kelly has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the company's operating subsidiary, Insight Midwest, L.P. Michael S. Willner remains Insight Communications' CEO and has also been named Vice Chairman of the company, as well as Chairman of Insight Midwest.

"These appointments represent a more accurate reflection of how Kim and I have worked as partners in this company for many years," stated Willner. "The bottom line is that this news does not alter the way we have been running, and will continue to run, our business. It simply better reflects the operating reality of our organizational structure."

Kelly joined Insight in 1990 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. She added the title of Chief Operating Officer in 1998 and turned over the chief finance duties to Dinesh C. Jain earlier this year. Willner co-founded the company in 1985 with Sidney R. Knafel, who remains its Chairman.
