Insight Communications Announces Year-End Retirement of Judy Poole, SVP of Human Resources

New York – September 26, 2003

Insight Communications (Nasdaq: ICCI) has announced the upcoming retirement of Judy Poole, the company's senior vice president of human resources, effective December 31, 2003. Jim Morgan, who has served as outside counsel to the company on all labor and employee relations issue since its inception in 1985, has been appointed to assume Poole's position. Michael Willner, Insight's vice chairman and chief executive officer, made the announcement.

"Judy has been a tremendous asset to Insight in her five-year tenure with the company," said Willner. "Her leadership and expertise have been invaluable during a significant growth period for Insight, and she will be greatly missed."

Poole joined Insight in 1998, when the MSO had approximately one-third of its current customer and employee base. As the company expanded substantially through several large acquisitions, Poole oversaw the growth and development of Insight's Human Resources team as they integrated new management teams in the field, went through the 1999 Initial Public Offering, greatly expanded the Training department and developed many successful employee programs. An industry veteran, Poole also spent 13 years at Cablevision prior to joining Insight.

Jim Morgan has been named Poole's successor and will join Insight on September 29, as Poole aids in the transition over the next three months. Morgan comes to Insight from the firm of Fisher & Phillips, LLC in New Orleans, a nationwide labor and employee relations specialty firm, where he served as partner. He earned a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Albany and a J.D. from the Tulane University School of Law. He and his wife are relocating from New Orleans to New York, where he will be based in Insight's Home Office.

"We are thrilled to add Jim to our team," said Willner. "He has been part of Insight's extended family for almost twenty years. We have the benefit of him joining us with an extensive background in our business and the respect of the many Insight employees who have known him over the years.
