The live TV recording, however, is not a permanent recording and will be erased if:

• You turn off the DVR.
• You change the channel (single-tuner) or change channels without using SWAP button (dual-tuner).
• You begin recording another program using the same tuner.
• You watch more than two hours. After two hours (less for HD) the digital receiver removes the earlier minutes of the recording, so the most recent two hours are kept in the temporary recording.
