HD: If you have an HDTV set and a DVR from Insight, you can watch HDTV programming as well as record it on your set-top receiver. And though Insight’s DVR is HD-compatible, it can also be used with a non-HD TV to view and record in standard definition.

 

DIGITAL AUDIO: If you have a home theater system, you can record a program in Dolby Digital 5.1 as long as the program is being broadcast in Digital Audio. A Dolby Digital indicator will appear on the Flip Bar for programs broadcast in Dolby Audio.

 

DIGITAL MUSIC CHANNELS: You can record and play back Digital Music. However, the playback controls "pause," fast-forward," and "rewind" are not currently functional for recorded digital music.

 

PAY-PER-VIEW: You may record PPV programs like any other program.

 

ON DEMAND: On Demand TV cannot be recorded with a DVR.

 

SERIES RECORDINGS:  The single tuner DVR will allow you to schedule recordings based on a program's airtime and channel. You can set a repeating recording, such as every day or once a week. However, if the program you want to record does not air in the scheduled time slot, the DVR will record whatever is airing at that time on that channel. Use "Title Search" to find air times for a particular title. You can then set up recordings for any or all episodes, no matter what time they're on.

 

The dual tuner DVR allows you to automatically record your favorite series. To access this feature, you need to record through the DVR Scheduler and when the “Create a New Recording” screen appears, select the Recording Option Icon . To help you manage which series gets recorded when there are scheduling conflicts, select DVR from the Main Menu and choose SERIES RECORDINGS. From here you can change your “Series Recording Options” by pressing INFO and selecting.
