What is a DVR?

DVR (Digital Video Recorder) lets you record and store your favorite movies and shows without rentals, tapes or returns. DVR capabilities are built right into your set-top receiver, which uses a hard drive like a computer to store content. You can watch a show in real time, as it's being recorded, or rewind the program you're currently recording and watch it from the beginning while the recording continues.

Because the DVR is always recording whatever channel it is on, you can also pause live TV and come back to it later. If you tune into a program 10 minutes late, you can rewind to the beginning, provided it's the channel the receiver was originally on.
