Changing the Volume Control
NOTE: The different buttons on remote controls vary by manufacturer and those on your equipment may look different than the ones displayed on this web page.
When you receive your new digital remote control, it will be set up to control volume through the various devices you hook up (through the TV, VCR and any AUX equipment like a DVD player). For example, if you enter the TV mode by pressing TV at the top of your remote, volume will be controlled through the TV. If you have a TV that does not have a remote control, you can set it up so that your remote can control the volume of your TV through CABLE while you are in the TV mode.
If you change the volume lock setting to the TV or Cable mode, the volume control for all modes except AUX will be changed. Or, all modes will be controlled by the AUX mode if you change the volume lock setting to AUX.
Also, it is advised not to set the volume lock setting to VCR. The volume controls will not work if you do.
