Insight Broadband supports the following operating systems:

Windows

  • Windows Millennium 
  • Windows 2000 Professional 
  • Windows XP Home 
  • Windows XP Professional

There are dozens of alternative operating systems available for use. Any operating system not listed above is NOT supported by Insight Broadband. This means that Insight Broadband will not install nor provide technical support for any operating system that is not on our supported list. The non-supported "alternative" operating systems listed below are created with different types of computer software code, and are not meant for general residential usage.

It is Insight’s policy that our customers may use these alternative operating systems, but Insight Broadband will not offer any form of installation or technical support regarding the usage of the Insight Broadband high-speed service in conjunction with any operating system not provided in the supported list above.

As a courtesy to our customers using alternative operating systems, we have provided links to Websites that may assist you with information in using those operating systems with Insight Broadband high-speed Internet service.
